The YASNAYA POLYANA Tula Gingerbread is a true masterpiece of Russian confectionery heritage. Produced at the legendary factory in Tula, this 130g "printed" (pechatny) gingerbread represents a centuries-old tradition. The dough is crafted with natural honey and high-quality spices, resulting in a dense yet soft texture that carries a deep, aromatic sweetness. This specific variety features a luscious filling of natural apple puree balanced with a warm burst of cinnamon, all finished with the signature thin sugar glaze that provides a delicate crunch. Each piece is a tribute to artisanal craftsmanship, featuring the classic embossed patterns that have made Tula famous worldwide.
Wheat flour, sugar, fruit filling (apple puree, sugar, ground cinnamon, acidity regulator: citric acid), egg products, natural honey, margarine, leavening agents (ammonium carbonate, sodium bicarbonate), flavoring. Contains gluten, honey, and eggs. May contain traces of dairy and nuts.
The Yasnaya Polyana factory is one of the most prestigious producers of the Tula gingerbread, maintaining the strict GOST standards of quality. The term "printed" refers to the wooden molds, often hand-carved from pear or lime wood, used to stamp the intricate designs onto the dough. Because of the natural honey content, these gingerbreads possess a unique "breathing" property, staying fresh and moist for much longer than standard biscuits.
Ready to eat. For the most traditional experience, enjoy it with a hot cup of black tea—preferably from a samovar! The apple and cinnamon notes are heightened if the gingerbread is slightly warmed for 5–10 seconds. It also pairs beautifully with a glass of cold milk. To preserve its legendary softness, store in a cool, dry place and keep the packaging sealed once opened to prevent the honey-dough from drying out.
